People and Places – Part 1

“People and Places We Will Never Forget” is about 45 minutes long total, but there is a limit to the video length I can upload. So I am breaking it into Parts.

This movie is apparently a summer vacation trip that starts in West Virginia (I think) and goes to Myrtle Beach, SC and back to West Virginia or Ohio at the end.

  1. Who are the people?
  2. What do you remember? What do you feel watching it again?

I am so thrilled with the awsesome responses. This is a lot of work, so keep the comments coming. They make me want to keep at it. It is a labor of love.

  1. This had to be fall of 1955. The first people I think are Tob VanCycle and one of his girls probably Maxine. The next scene was I think of Houston Brannen and his family. The next was the old Puffenbarger place on 9 mile. The next was The Eckard place with Mr. CO Eckard, Miss Oma and their son Clifford. The church is Pine Grove and the cemetry is also Pine Grove where a lot of the Lewis family are burried. The blonde with me is Judy Keyser. The Cross roads are where upper, middle and lower 9 mile roads came together. The gathering of pears is at dads home place and thats dad up in the tree shaking out the pears. The next is making sorgum on the farm where I was born. M.C. Lewis is there, Uncle John, aunt Bulah and The big guy is Tommy Lindsey he was strong as an ox I saw him pick up the back of a jeep one time and hold it while the tire was changed. The river scene is at lock 11. The next is the Old Shadle bridge and some of Point Pleasant.
