People and Places – Part 7

“People and Places We Will Never Forget” is about 45 minutes long total, but there is a limit to the video length I can upload. So I am breaking it into Parts. This is part 7 (the end)
This movie is apparently a summer vacation trip that starts in West Virginia (I think) and goes to Myrtle Beach, SC and back to West Virginia or Ohio at the end.

  1. Who are the people?
  2. What do you remember? What do you feel watching it again

I am so thrilled with the awsesome responses. This is a lot of work, so keep the comments coming. They make me want to keep at it. It is a labor of love.

MC & Naomi Lewis’s 60th Anniversary

Miles Clement Lewis married Naomi Catherine Brannan on Sunday, September 1, 1895. This movie is from their 60th anniversary. Here’s a photo of them with all their children at the anniversary too:

Left to Right: Genevieve, Milton, MC, John, Mildred, Naomi, Hazel, Bob, Bernice

Dave’s 8th Birthday

This is my Uncle Dave’s 8th birthday party, Saturday, August 27, 1955
Dave, I would love to see your comments. What do you remember? Who were the people? Are you still in touch with any of them? What feelings do you have looking back today?

Romulus Anderson’s 78th Birthday

Romulus Anderson was my great grandfather-my father’s, father’s father. That’s him standing on the porch at the beginning. My grandmother Bernice (Lewis) Anderson is in the black blouse. I do not know who is next to her. The gray haired lady you see next is my great grandmother, Bertha Pearl (Nicely) Anderson. I am assuming that the boy is my Uncle Dave who would have been 8 years old. There is another older boy, but I do not know who he is. The bald man in the gray slacks is my grandfather, Preston Anderson.

Questions (answer by leaving comments):

  1. Who is the blonde lady?
  2. Who is the older boy?
  3. Where is this house?
  4. Who is the man in the tie (at 1:47)?
